About Me
My name is Tim Rice, and when I was a child I use to pull apart everything in the house from computers, to clocks, to lawnmowers in a bid to understand how they worked. This fueled an interest in engineering and lead to me completing an engineering degree and other postgraduate studies.
“The only thing that’s changed now is the size and cost of the equipment I get to pull apart”.
I have since had an eye-opening career in the mining and minerals processing industry where I have been able to further fuel my curiosity on Heavy Mobile Equipment and Fixed Plant assets and provide significant value to my employers.
Having this experience, I believe I have a duty to pass on my knowledge to others through coaching and mentoring, which is something I enjoy.
My Why
I love snowboarding, surfing, and mountain biking. I love them for the adrenaline rush and that feeling of endorphins flowing through your body. A majority of that came from the unpredictability of the snow, the surf, and what lay around the bend on the trail.
Some days are good, some are not so good. Some days are once-in-a-lifetime highs and others could be life changing lows. Imagine running a business like this? Not knowing if today will be your cash cow or the one that sinks the ship.
As boring as it might sound, making your business run as predictable as possible will allow you to maintain alignment to the plan and deliver what you said you would deliver…and possibly more.
I believe I have a duty to pass on my knowledge to others. As a young engineer early in my career, I lacked an appropriate syllabus for starting a defect elimination program, which resulted in many hiccups, bumps and missed opportunities along the way.
I want to provide guidance in any way I can to ensure your road to success does not lag and the missed opportunities are zero.
